The Nifty Conglomerate 50 Index aims to track the performance of 50 stocks from the Nifty 500 Index that represent India’s Conglomerates. The largest stocks from each Indian conglomerate groups in Nifty 500 are selected based on their 6-month average free float market capitalization. The weight of each stock in the index is based on its free-float market capitalization subject to a Conglomerate group cap of 23% and stock cap of 10%.

  • The index has a base date of April 01, 2005, with a base value of 1000
  • Stocks forming part of the Nifty 500 Index at the time of review are eligible for inclusion in the index
  • Stocks forming part of the eligible business groups which are referred to as “Conglomerate” shall be eligible to be included from the universe at the time of review
  • The index comprises a maximum of 50 stocks
  • The weight of each stock in the index is based on free float market capitalization
  • The index is reconstituted and rebalanced quarterly
  • Stock weights are capped at 10%. Conglomerate Groups are capped at 23%
